As many of you know, I have had quite the life changing experience with my health and chiropractic has played a vital role in that journey. On Tuesday afternoon, I was really struggling with breast feeding and my neck and back were killing me. When I called the midwives they suggested that I get in to see my Chiropractor right a way not only for me but for Sydney. They said that sometime the upper bones in the neck can be inhibiting the motion of the jaw opening creating a smaller latch which in turn means PAIN. Well I decided to call my Chiropractor and see what he thought. He told
me to come in at the end of his day so that there wouldn't be anybody that was sick in the office.
We went in and he adjusted me first which what so awesome. Labor asks some weird things of your body and it was just nice to get back in line. :)
He then had me take Sydney out of her car seat and hold her in my lap. She was sound asleep. He very carefully used his index fingers to locate each vertebrae of her neck. As he felt each one, he said that she was actually in pretty good shape. The atlas, the vertebrae that the skull sits on, was a little misaligned. It was so cool because he just cautiously turned her head to look towards the door and the vertebrae moved. There wasn't any abrupt movements or anything. Sydney didn't even flinch. She just kept on sleeping. He then felt all the bones in her skull to make sure that they came through the birthing process okay. It was just pretty awesome to know that Sydney has such quality of care. She be up playing before we know it and it will be nice when she decides to fall out of trees and such that she will have such and amazing doctor to take care of her. :0) Thanks Dr. Gallagher!
(this was a posed picture and she wasn't as
happy as she was when she actually got adjusted)
